First maxi order for the new electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600. The German company has received an order for 1,000 heavy vehicles from the Swiss company Holcim, specialized in the construction field.
Presented last October in a world premiere, in production from the end of 2024, the Star truck will be equipped with a 600 kWh battery pack which will ensure average travel distances of 500 kilometers per stop at the charging station.
This feature, combined with the on-board rapid refueling system at 400 kW and, soon up to 1 megawatt which will allow the battery charge to go from 20 to 80% in 30 minutes, will ensure that hauliers can travel over 1,000 kilometers per day. day, taking advantage of the charging times also for mandatory rest periods.
At Holcim the new eActros 600 will be delivered in various configurations, including those with a trailer for cement transport.
