70 crews have been selected to take part in the eleventh edition of the WinteRace from 7 to 9 March 2024 in Cortina d'Ampezzo, an event reserved for historic cars but also for a group of iconic modern vehicles judged to be of particular stylistic interest for global automotive production.
The event, registered in the ASI (Automotoclub StoricoItaliano) calendar on behalf of the Circolo Veneto Auto e Moto d'Epoca GianninoMarzotto, will take place over two days and includes two challenging Alpine stages of 200 kilometers each.
This explains the success of foreign teams joining from Mexico, Monte Carlo, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Luxembourg, but also the tendency towards a passing of the baton of the passion for vintage cars with the presence of many teams made up of fathers and sons.
Renovated route, as explained by Rossella Labate, "soul" of the WinteRace, with passages at the Alpe di Siusi, Castello di Prosels, Moena and Vigo di Fassa, with departure and arrival in Cortina, and challenging regularity tests on historic passes such as the Giau, the Pinei , the Nigra and the Costalunga, but also Lake Misurina and Passo Tre Croci, with a territorial marketing objective combined with glamor and races of yesteryear.
"We want to build - explains Rossella Labate - a bridge that brings together the passion for historic engines with that for modern cars that still embody their sporting spirit".
