The popular Israeli dating app "Atref" returned today (Wednesday) to the app store, after about two years of absence.

The application, which operated for about a decade and was particularly popular among the gay community in Israel, was closed in 2022 following a hack into the servers of Cyberserve, its storage company.

In addition, the hacked database also included sensitive information, such as HIV status and sexual preferences.

Following the hack, Cyberserve announced the temporary closure of the application, until it can ensure the safety of the users.
