Contributing to the cause are the large vertical BMW kidney grille with M-typical double horizontal slats, the strongly contoured wheel arches and the strongly flared side sills with contrasting high-gloss black finish, as well as the attachments for the front and rear aprons, are a clear reference to the dynamic potential of both the Coupé and the Cabrio.
The inline six-cylinder engines used in the new BMW M4 Coupé and new M4 Convertible combine the typical high-speed characteristics offered by BMW M GmbH engines with the current version of M TwinPower Turbo technology, including responsive power delivery and high torque characteristics up to the highest load ranges.
The maximum output of the inline six-cylinder in the new M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive and the new M4 Competition Cabrio with M xDrive has been increased from the previous 375 kW/510 hp to 390 kW/530 hp.
