Following the death of Christine, during a swim in Corsica in September 2020, Franck Chevallier had to collect 1.3 million euros in the form of life insurance contracts.
Ex-switchboard operator in a hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis, he became rich and took advantage of his new fortune to satisfy his main passions: dowsing, sports betting and massage sessions.
But one of the insurance companies involved in this case, the MAAF, sounded the alarm and pushed the courts to open an investigation in May 2021.

At the beginning of 2023, Franck Chevallier was indicted for murder and abuse of weakness and then placed in pre-trial detention at the Ajaccio remand center.
After a year behind bars, he was released under judicial supervision on January 8.
The opportunity for him to defend his version of the facts, even if it means slipping, sometimes in one sentence, from the tragic to the comic.
We met him on Tuesday January 23 in a shopping center in Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis).
