Three and a half years after the events, which occurred in the very chic Casino Club Barrière des Champs-Élysées, in Paris (8th arrondissement), it is the end of the game for Youssef B. The general counsel, Philippe Courroye, requested, this Thursday before the criminal court of Paris, a sentence of eleven years of criminal imprisonment against him.
This 33-year-old man has been appearing since Monday for having, on August 22, 2020, committed violence resulting in death, under the influence of alcohol and accompanied by racist remarks.
During the proceedings, the accused explained that he had been attacked and assured that he had defended himself by throwing a punch.
The victim, a 49-year-old man named Yuefeng Jiang, died of hemorrhage following a fracture of the first vertebra in his neck.
