Christian Chouvier and Xavier Bondu lived 900 meters from each other.
The two sixty-year-olds living in the suburbs of Saumur (Maine-et-Loire) were killed at home three weeks apart during the summer of 2020. Both died from violence committed on the day their bank card was stolen ... At the end of December, the Angers public prosecutor's office requested a dismissal of the case in the context of the investigation into the death of Xavier Bondu, considering that "the death of Ahmed Djebali has extinguished public action".
The one on the death of Christian Chouvier, in which Ahmed Djebali was unable to be interviewed by the courts before his death, seems destined for the same fate.
Unbearable for the families of the two victims, convinced that the suspect, who was weakened by a terminal illness, did not act alone.
