 For the 2024 Ecobonus the available resources amount to 950 million euros.

Mimit made this known during the automotive discussion at Palazzo Piacentini.

Several new features have been announced for cars: increase in incentives for electric and plug-in hybrids;

contribution proportional to the age of the scrapped vehicle;

possibility of scrapping even Euro 5s. The maximum contribution to scrapping rises from 5 thousand to 13,750 euros.

For the less well-off classes, among the various measures, there is a 25% increase in contributions, as well as incentives for used vehicles with scrapping, up to Euro 4, for vehicles up to 25 thousand euros.

The 950 million are divided as follows: 793 million for cars;

35 million for mopeds, motorcycles, quadricycles;

53 million for light commercial vehicles;

20 million for used cars;

50 million for long-term rental.

For further information Agenzia ANSA Tavares, 'without subsidies the plants in Italy are at risk' Italy should do more to protect its jobs in the automotive sector rather than attacking Stellantis for the fact that it produces less in our country.

The incentive plan for the automotive sector "is based on the belief that we absolutely must change course compared to what has happened in recent years. If the trend does not change this year, despite the huge resources we are putting in place, we will allocate the further resources from the Automotive Fund exclusively to support our supply chain and to incentivize new production plants in our country."

Thus, according to what we learn, the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, during the automotive discussion underway at Mimit.

    "The new incentive plan for cars - continued Urso - goes in three converging directions: ecological, social and productive sustainability. The first objective is in fact to stimulate the scrapping of highly polluting cars, the euro 0, 1, 2 and 3, which are still 25% of the fleet circulating in our country. The second objective - he further said - is to help families with low incomes above all, through a gradual system which provides more significant benefits for families with ISEE up to to 30 thousand euros. Finally, to incentivize production in our country which has drastically reduced in recent years, despite the incentives provided which have mainly gone, up to 80%, to cars produced in foreign factories, including those of Stellantis itself".

 "Today, as we have done in the past, I once again reiterate our strong commitment to the country."

This was stated by Davide Mele, head of Corporate Affairs Italy at Stellantis who participates in the automotive roundtable convened by Minister Adolfo Urso.

"We have the common objective, together with the Government, the supply chain, the unions and all those who live in this sector every day - stated Mele - to support the production of vehicles in Italy in the coming years with the ambition of also reaching the famous million vehicles (cars and commercial vehicles) in the Df2030 plan. We are not holding back but we believe some specific enabling factors are fundamental in this journey towards the electrification of the Italian car fleet: the impacts of the regulations on the continuity of current production at prices affordable, the long-term continuation of adequate incentives for the sale of electric vehicles and fleet renewal, the development of the charging network to support customers and industrial cost competitiveness, including improving the cost of energy, which is clearly challenged by the Chinese offensive with a competitive advantage of -30%.Production is closely related to market demand and therefore if we want to aim for certain objectives we must take into great consideration not only the producer but also the customer.

Based on customer demand, we produce the cars and not the other way around."

 "Stellantis is more convinced than ever that if every stakeholder does their part, in a concrete and proactive way, the national automotive sector will be able to return to playing the role it deserves in an increasingly uncertain European panorama but which it must have in Italy and in its industrial policies an example to look to".

 "The company has invested several billion euros in its Italian activities for new products and production sites, including the Termoli gigafactory and the Mirafiori Battery Technology Center. What matters is the projection towards the future that we intend to support in all plants , leaving demagogy at the door."

Davide Mele, head of Corporate Affairs Italy at Stellantis, said this in his speech at the automotive table convened by Minister Adolfo Urso.

"It is necessary to concentrate our energies to find a convergence for a solution that leads to the sustainability of our activities in Italy, in the context of the Chinese offensive on the European automotive market. This is what is at stake, nothing more and nothing less. Stellantis, in fact, since its establishment has worked with determination and speed to anticipate and support the energy transition of all its Italian industrial sites" underlined Mele.
