An 87-year-old caused around 26,000 euros in property damage in an underground car park.
The Mercedes driver crashed his car into other cars twice in a short space of time.
There is currently a hot debate about driving ability tests for seniors.
According to a survey, a clear majority is in favor of the proposal to introduce appropriate tests.
Nevertheless, the implementation of such plans is highly controversial: The ADAC, for example, rejects the proposal - among other things because the risk of accidents among older people is "not exceptionally high".
Recently, a new suggestion came up: feedback trips for drivers aged 75 and over.
In any case, the discussion around the topic is unlikely to stop any time soon: In Baden-Württemberg, an 87-year-old has now caused two accidents - in quick succession.

The 87-year-old's second accident: Mercedes rams Mercedes
But it didn't stop with just one crash.
After the police recorded the accident, the man tried to drive his vehicle out of the underground car park - and there was another crash.
This time the 87-year-old drove into another Mercedes - and also pushed it into a pillar.
The “opposing” car suffered damage amounting to around 4,000 euros, while the damage to the 87-year-old’s Mercedes is estimated at a total of 2,000 euros.
All in all, there was material damage of around 26,000 euros.
After the second crash, however, the 87-year-old did not continue as a driver for the time being: a relative was contacted and he took over the wheel of the Mercedes.
