Green Ncap, in the first series of tests in 2024, analyzed 6 cars, 5 electric and one petrol hybrid, with the former earning 5 green stars, and the hybrid receiving 3 stars.
Specifically, the best result was that of BYD Dolphin Design, which achieved decidedly low consumption values even on motorway routes, reaching an average score of 98%.
This evaluation percentage was also achieved by the Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Edition, which stood out for its aerodynamics and the care of the engine, as well as for the heating system, achieving notable efficiency values despite a weight of 2,000 kg.
Excellent result also for the BMW i4 eDrive 35, electric rear-wheel drive, which achieved an average score of 96% and showed consumption as well as notable thermal comfort.
Slightly further behind in the average score, with a value of 95%, are the MG 4 Comfort and the smart #3 Pro+.
The first offers good consumption and autonomy values both at normal and winter temperatures;
while the second guarantees excellent consumption values with a maximum power of 200 kW and a battery capacity (declared) of 65 kWh.
The only hybrid of the lot, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, achieved an average score of 51%, due to the exhaust system that reduces pollutants to a minimum, and a powertrain that helps reduce emissions of CO2.
