Tesla is recalling 2.2 million vehicles, nearly all of its electric cars, in the United States because of incorrect font sizes on warning lights, which increase the risk of accidents.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported this today.
This latest large batch adds to the 2.03 million vehicles that Tesla recalled in the United States two months ago to install new protections in its Autopilot driver assistance system.
The most recent recall includes vehicles from various Tesla models, including the Model S, Model.
“Warning lights with smaller font sizes can make it difficult to read critical safety information on the dashboard, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA said.
