In the background of the hectic discussions to promote another abductee deal between Israel and Hamas, Channel 14 presenters and commentators launched a sharp attack against no less than the families of the abductees in what appears - at least to many on social media - to be an identical message page of the channel's staff.

He also said that the families of the abductees get too much screen time: "The amount of hours that the families of the abductees occupy the studios - and more during wartime - it shouldn't look like this at all. We are idiots."
The panelist Itamar Fleishman also hinted that perhaps Israel will be forced to collapse Hamas and thus in fact pay a heavy price that will ultimately lead to the death of the abductees: "In this war we realized the hard way that we need to step up our brutality. What do I mean? That there is no immunity for Hamas, no matter what He does. He hides among the civilian population? We have to kill the civilian population in order to kill Hamas. This is happening and that is why there are close to 30,000 dead in Gaza. Yanon Magal challenged him: "What do you mean?", and Fleishman replied: "You have to understand that sometimes in order to defeat terrorism and for me to prevent the next kidnappings and the next murder - the hardest possible absorption is required of us. Anyone who tells you otherwise - is simply lying to you. Because This is the price of a broken deal - more blood and more hostages."
