    In this context, a total of six Stellantis models have entered the ranking of the best ten, with Fiat Panda stable in the lead, followed, in third place, by Citroën C3 which recovers a position compared to the December ranking, and, in fourth, from Jeep Avenger.


   Lancia Ypsilon instead placed fifth, followed, in sixth, by Peugeot 2008 which rose two positions, and, in ninth, by Peugeot 208.


    A share of 33.9% was achieved by Stellantis on the electric vehicle front.

"2024 for Stellantis in Italy - commented Santo Ficili, managing director of Stellantis in Italy - opens with a promising start, which has seen considerable growth in the electric vehicle sales sector. The marketing of 12 BEV models during 2024 reflects the strategic importance that we attribute to the Italian market within our global vision".


    In detail of the brands, Alfa Romeo closed the month of January maintaining a stable market share of 1.4%, in line with the previous year.

A point of particular importance is the notable contribution of the private channel, which recorded the highest percentage of the last 8 months, with a growth of 4% compared to the same period of the previous year (+22%).


    Alfa Romeo Tonale ranked fourth in terms of volumes, recording an increase of 41% compared to January last year.

Stelvio and Giulia also recorded notable performances on the private channel, with increases of +15 percentage points and +26 percentage points respectively compared to January 2023.


    In Italy, Citroën recorded a market share of 5.1% among private individuals, the highest of the last 32 months.

The overall market share stands at 4.7%, highlighting a growth of 0.7 percentage points compared to January 2023. The Citroën C3 confirms its commercial success and popularity, positioning itself as the third best-selling car in Italy.


    Also in January, DS Automobiles kept its car market share unchanged at 0.4%, while Fiat began 2024 as the leading brand in car sales in January, recording almost 16 thousand registrations and a market share of 11%. 2%.

Panda Hybrid is the Fiat model that has achieved the greatest sales success in Italy, with over 11 thousand registrations.


    In the same period, Lancia registered over 3,900 cars, with a growth of 9% in terms of volumes compared to the same month last year.

The Jeep Avenger electric SUV, on the other hand, confirmed itself as a successful product for the company, obtaining the title of best-selling electric model in Italy.

Avenger also ranks at the top of the B-SUV segment, considering all engines.


    To top it off, the start of 2024 was also positive for Peugeot with a notable increase in sales in various market segments.

In particular, in Italy, it recorded strong growth in sales, reaching a share of 5.8% in both the car and commercial vehicle sectors.

In the market for fully electric cars and commercial vehicles, the market share was even more significant, standing at 6.1%, with an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to January 2023.
