Seven young people from Verona, aged between 20 and 13, destroyed a car "for fun" and were blocked by the Carabinieri last night in the Porta Palio car park in Verona, while they were damaging it with stones and other blunt objects.
The military, after stopping and identifying the perpetrators of the damage, discovered that they were young students and workers, not under the influence of narcotic or alcoholic substances, who seemed to have acted only to have fun.
Everything happened without the knowledge of the owner of the vehicle, a 34-year-old from Sommacampagna (Verona), unaware of what was happening.
The report, in fact, came from a witness who lives in the area and who, suspicious of the noises and shouts coming from the street, looked out and noticed the destructive "spectacle".
The victim assured that he did not know the seven boys, all with no previous records, who did not even provide a justification as to why they vandalized the car, which was totally destroyed.
Two minors were reported to the Court of Venice, while the adults were all placed under house arrest, at the disposal of the Verona Public Prosecutor's Office.
This morning in Court the judge validated the arrest and postponed the hearing to April 9th.
