A 10-year-old girl was the victim of an attempted kidnapping on Monday in front of her school in the town of La Garde (Var), according to information from France bleu Provence.
While she was waiting in front of the entrance to her school, the schoolgirl was approached by a man she did not know, according to our colleagues.
The latter then ordered him to follow him.
Faced with the girl's refusal, the man then violently pulled her by the arm.
Alerted, a member of the establishment's management intervened and put the individual to flight.
Suspect arrested
Police officers then immediately began looking for him and found the alleged perpetrator hiding in the garden of a villa in Toulon.
The suspect, originally from Reunion Island, has a very worrying profile according to our colleagues and was already known for sexual assaults almost everywhere in France, and in particular in Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône).
According to Var Matin, who mentions a suspect “unfavorably known to the services”, he was placed in police custody.
