The special Challenger was in fact originally ordered 'custom' by a US soldier, who however had then seen the car he requested sold by zealous dealership employees to a third person.
Once the wrong had been verified, Dodge itself moved to remedy the situation and even Jay Leno intervened to ensure that the soldier was given a car identical to the one he had requested.
When the second buyer of the military green Challenger discovered the affair, he also returned his car, which will now be the protagonist of an auction at Mecum, the proceeds of which will be donated to three different charitable organizations. The original F8 Green Demon 170 will be auctioned in Houston on April 4th.
The car has only 54 miles on it and comes with black Brembo brake calipers with yellow logos, carbon fiber accents, an Srt Alcantara steering wheel, and the Hellcat Redeye Widebody kit.
