The alleged assailant of the knife attack that occurred this Saturday at the Gare de Lyon (Paris) wanted to "attack French people", confirmed this Tuesday the Paris prosecutor's office, after the revelations of Le Parisien on the videos published by the suspect on social networks.
He was presented this Tuesday to an investigating judge for attempted murder.
A judicial investigation was opened "on the offenses of attempted assassination and violence with weapons, aggravated by the circumstance that the acts were preceded, accompanied or followed by remarks which establish that they were committed against the victims due to of their belonging (…) to an alleged race, ethnicity, nation or specific religion.”
