The official was suspected of having, in June 2017 in Trappes (Yvelines), shot a mother in the arm while he intervened during an episode of urban violence.

The mother files a complaint
Two days after this incident, Nora, 34, filed a complaint with the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN).
She says that, that evening, she was accompanied by her husband and her two children.

Use of weapon in self-defense
The four police officers were interviewed and said that he had fired defensive shots at young people who were attacking them.
They all stressed that they were sorry to learn that this woman had been injured.

The investigating judge ruled in favor of dismissing the case, considering that the police officer had used his weapon in self-defense.
His lawyer, Me Clémence Drevard, does not wish to comment and is content to note that “this decision is only the result of the application of criminal law”.
The family can still file an appeal before the Court of Cassation.
