A new era opens for BMW 5 Series Touring, with renewed driving pleasure, sporty elegance and functionality.
The sixth generation of the Touring according to the propeller house is more advanced than ever, including digital innovations, pioneering systems for automated driving and parking, as well as greater sustainability throughout the entire life cycle.
There is also a fully electric unit and it is called BMW i5 Touring.

A flexible drive architecture enables model variants with highly efficient petrol and diesel engines, plug-in hybrid systems and purely electric drive systems to be produced on a single production line at the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing.
The launch in Germany, several European countries and Japan will begin in May 2024, with other markets to follow in June 2024.
Dynamically elongated proportions and generously designed surfaces characterize the exterior of the new BMW 5 Series Touring.
Compared to the previous model it is 97 millimeters longer, 32 millimeters wider and 17 millimeters taller.
The new 5 Series Touring also has the longest wheelbase in its class, with an increase of 20 millimeters to 2,995 millimetres.
The front features a modern interpretation of the double headlights and BMW grille, with almost vertical LED elements that act as direction indicators and daytime running lights respectively.
The BMW grille, which protrudes forward, is equipped with (optional) Iconic Glow contour lighting.
The new car's standard equipment includes 18 and 19-inch light alloy wheels for the fully electric and plug-in hybrid models.
Alloy wheels up to 21 inches are available as an option.
The dynamic character of the new 5 Series Touring can be further emphasized with the M Sport Package, M Sport Package Pro and M Carbon Exterior Package options.
As the top model of the series, the BMW i5 M60 xDrive Touring is equipped as standard with external components dedicated to driving dynamics.
The completely vegan interior is based on the progressive, driver-oriented design of the cockpit with the Curved Display.
Its 12.3-inch Information Display and the Control Display with a diagonal of 14.9 inches form a fully digital display network.
The environment is further enriched by the new standard sports seats, the steering wheel, now flatter in the lower part, and the optional BMW Interaction Bar.
Other optional equipment includes the panoramic glass roof and the Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System with up to 18 speakers.
The new BMW i5 Touring is the first fully electric premium model in its sector.
It will be available in two versions from the start.
In the i5 M60 xDrive Touring, two highly integrated drive units at the front and rear axle together form an electric all-wheel drive with a maximum output of 442 kW/601 hp.
The electric motor of the i5 eDrive40 Touring is positioned on the rear axle and generates a maximum power of 250 kW/340 hp and a maximum torque of 430 Nm with Sport Boost or Launch Control function.
