Porsche has announced a major improvement introduced in the new Taycan model year.
The three body variants - sports sedan, Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo - will have significant improvements in efficiency, autonomy, ease of daily use and comfort from this spring.
The new Taycans, for example, accelerate much faster than their predecessors.
Taycan and Taycan Turbo S sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 and 2.4 seconds respectively.
Furthermore, with the new Push-to-pass function of the Sport Chrono package it is possible to obtain extra power of up to 70 kW for up to 10 seconds, depending on the model.
Taycan Turbo S with Launch Control now offers a total power of 952 HP (700 kW).
Furthermore, the entire Taycan family guarantees 35% more autonomy than its predecessors.
Depending on the body variant and engine, the WLTP range can reach up to 678 kilometres, an increase of as much as 175 km.
These updated versions also recharge faster: Isi can use charging stations with a power of up to 320 kW, 50 more than before.
Furthermore, the fast charging window has been significantly expanded and it is possible to maintain powers above 300 kW for periods of up to 5 minutes.
These new features can reduce by half the time needed to go from a 10% charge up to 80% compared to the previous model.
This is highlighted by the fact that the first generation Taycan (with 93 kWh battery) charging time from 10% to 80% at 15 degrees Celsius is 37 minutes while under the same conditions, the new Taycan with 105 kW battery takes only 18 minutes .
