The fruit of a long reflection.
This is how Me Negar Haeri described the complaint for “sexual abuse of a minor over 15 years old” filed in 2023 by his client against the director Philippe Caubère.
This 27-year-old actress accuses the interpreter of Molière in Ariane Mnouchkine's film of having abused her emotional immaturity several times when she was 16, and he was 61.
Postponed twice, Philippe Caubère's hearing took place this Tuesday, February 6 under police custody.
At the end of his interrogation, the actor was brought before a judge in Créteil (Val-de-Marne).
He was indicted for “sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old by a person in authority”, alleged acts committed in Saint-Mandé between March and October 2012, and “rape on a minor by a person in authority” , on the same victim and still at his home in Val-de-Marne.
Two other alleged victims
Suspicions are not limited to a single victim.
The actor was also indicted for “sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old by a person in authority” and “rape of a minor by a person in authority” on a second young woman, alleged facts that occurred in Paris and in Saint-Mandé between October 2010 and May 2011. Philippe Caubère is also suspected of “corruption of a minor over 15 years old”, in Paris and La Fare-les-Oliviers (Bouches-du-Rhône), between January 2019 and August 2021, to the detriment of a third alleged victim.
Asked this Thursday evening, Me Marie Dosé, lawyer for Philippe Caubère, who was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on working with minors in the course of his work, did not respond.
