The Paris prosecutor's office has requested a trial against the director Christophe Ruggia for aggravated sexual assault on the artist Adèle Haenel when she was a young teenager, we learned from sources close to the case this Thursday, confirming information from RMC.
Contacted by AFP, the director's lawyers did not wish to comment on this development concerning these accusations which had caused an earthquake in 2019 in French cinema, which had until then remained impervious to the #MeToo movement.
Adèle Haenel, for her part, welcomed the achievement of an “important” step to Mediapart.
