François Bayrou acquitted: the Paris prosecutor's office announces an appeal in the case of the Modem parliamentary assistants

Highlights: François Bayrou acquitted in the case of the financing of European parliamentary assistants of the MoDem. Stéphane Thérou (director of the office of the mayor of Pau) and Pierre-Emmanuel Portheret (former director general of MoDem) are also concerned by the appeal. The Paris public prosecutor’s office “contexts the acquittals”.

In a press release published this Thursday, the prosecution of the Paris judicial court declares that it is appealing the acquittal of François Bayrou, in the case of the financing of European parliamentary assistants of the MoDem.

Stéphane Thérou (director of the office of the mayor of Pau) and Pierre-Emmanuel Portheret (former director general of MoDem) also acquitted in this affair, are also concerned by the appeal.
