After filing a complaint for rape of a minor against Benoît Jacquot, a director 25 years her senior with whom she began a relationship

She speaks again.

Questioned on France Inter this Thursday morning, initially to discuss her complaint against Benoît Jacquot, actress Judith Godrèche revealed that she had been abused by director Jacques Doillon when she was a teenager.

The actress was 15 years old when she starred in the film “La Fille de 15 ans”, released in 1989. According to her account, director Jacques Doillon would have changed the casting and the script to shoot a sex scene with the actress still a teenager.

Above all, she accuses him of having abused her in private.

“What happened in Jane’s (Birkin, his wife at the time) house, in Doillon’s office, no one saw it,” she explained, adding that she had never before recounted these alleged facts.

“A story of violence, a story of control”

The young actress was then in a relationship - which began when she was just 14 years old - with the director Benoît Jacquot, 25 years her senior.

“It’s a story of violence, a story of control,” she described on France Inter, two days after filing a complaint against him for rape of a minor.

“Vanessa Springora's book, I start to read it and I can't,” she described on France Inter, explaining one of the triggers which allowed her to become aware of sexual and psychological violence. that she had experienced as a teenager.

“There is the desire not to want to look at one's past as something which would be of the order of a trauma, not to pose as a victim”, continued the actress to make it understood the time necessary before being able to take the speech.

The actress also explained that she was "never attracted to Jacquot but I found myself with him, I found myself in his bed."

Because to resist the mechanism of control – “I was indoctrinated”, she describes – which took hold when she was young, “it would have taken an army of adults”.

However, his parents “had no place in that.

Could they have fought?

I would have done it,” says the mother of two children.

As she had already explained in several investigations, violence would have very quickly been present in her relationship with the director.

“The sexual abuse and sexual sadism happened immediately, from the age of 14,” the actress recalled.

“At the beginning I was so docile (…).

But when I expressed wishes that did not correspond to the rules (of Jacquot), it became terrifying” she reported, describing in particular “blows which intensified”.

“The more I ask for freedom, the more I am hit, sadized, humiliated in public.”

Investigation opened for rape of a minor

On Wednesday, the Paris prosecutor's office opened an investigation into the relationship between the actress, only 14 years old at the time, and the director 25 years her senior, Benoît Jacquot.

“All of the facts denounced took place between 1986 and 1992,” confirmed the prosecution.

Entrusted to the Minor Protection Brigade (BPM), it concerns “the offenses of rape of a minor under 15 years of age by a person in authority, rape, violence by a partner, and sexual assault of a minor over 15 years of age by a person in authority ".

In around ten stories published overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday on Instagram, Judith Godrèche repeatedly described Benoît Jacquot as a “pervert” who “tirelessly puts her in the place of the non-existent object”.

The actress and the filmmaker, 25 years her senior, began their relationship in the spring of 1986, when she was just 14 years old and taking her first steps in the cinema.

They lived openly together, even buying an apartment in Paris, until their separation in 1992.

Questioned by Le Monde, which released the information since confirmed by the actress's lawyer, Benoît Jacquot, 77, “firmly denies the allegations and accusations”.

Asked by AFP, he said on Wednesday that he did not wish to react further, sticking to these statements.
