The future SUV designed by Renault for the C segment will be called Symbioz. The French company has in fact revealed a first detail on the vehicle which, as scheduled, will be presented in the spring of this year.
The name chosen, Symbioz, as Renault says, refers to the term symbiosis, derived from the ancient Greek symbiosis, which means living together, or a value deeply rooted in Renault's DNA with the slogan voitures à vivre.
"For this new compact vehicle for families - commented Sylvia Dos Santos, naming strategy manager of Renault's Global Marketing Department - we wanted to put the human being and the intimate relationship that unites the family with their car at the center of the name The name Symbioz perfectly illustrates life with our vehicle, where passengers are one with the car and the environment."
According to what Renault anticipated, Symbioz will present the brand's new design and will be the most compact SUV among the C-segment hybrid vehicles in the Renault range, with a length of 4.41 metres.
Inside there will be everything needed to satisfy families, with generous living space and a large load volume.
There is also a lot of technology put into play, including the new generation Solarbay panoramic roof, based on PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology, which becomes opaque without a blackout curtain.
The planned engine is the E-Tech Full Hybrid 145 hp, with reduced weight (less than 1,500 kg) to improve driving pleasure and reduce fuel consumption.
