CAKE motorcycles in Israel/manufacturer
A combination of the cooling of the capital market and the atmosphere around electric tools calls into question the continued existence of another interesting manufacturer in the field: the Swedish CAKE, which produces motorcycles with a unique design.
The Paul Gas website reports that the company filed for bankruptcy this week, after it was unable to pay salaries to its employees.
The company, which was founded in 2016 and has since raised 74 million dollars, produces five models, based on quality components from well-known suppliers such as Olhlins for the shock absorbers and Northwalt for the batteries, with their main characteristic being the clean, unique and modern design.
Don't look like any other motorcycle/manufacturer site
Israel was one of the first countries outside of Europe and North America to reach the brand that was launched a year ago by the importer NOICE.
In Israel, four of the company's five models were sold, at a price of 43 to 68 thousand shekels, suitable for an A2 driver's license.
Since then, 31 units of the manufacturer have hit the roads, most of which have been sold to customers.
Last month, a planned fundraising round for Cake, which is still defined as a start-up, failed, and at the same time had to finance two recalls.
Now he is trying to find a new owner, who believes in the niche, expensive and challenging design motorcycles.
NOICE stated that the company is in contact with the company's management and the trustee appointed to it.
A tender for the purchase of the company is expected to be published in the coming weeks and there are already interested parties.
We updated the customers in Israel.
There is a large stock of spare parts and if we need to we will be able to reach arrangements with them.
