As highlighted by Alberto Viano, president of Aniasa, the association that represents the mobility services sector in Confindustria, in the letter sent to the Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, the expansion of incentives for rental and companies would promote the ecological transition process with the modernization of the car fleet circulating in Italy.
President Viano himself spoke at the Automotive Roundtable in recent days, expressing his appreciation for the revision of the rule on incentives in force in 2023, which allocated only part of the incentives on ecological vehicles to rental.
A sector that requires greater support, given that 53% of the registrations of plug-in hybrid cars on the market and 30% of electric ones come from rental.
Furthermore, rental encourages the arrival of latest generation cars on the used market which become economically accessible.
"We are pleased that the Executive has understood the role that our sector can have in making the mobility of our country safer and more sustainable - underlined the president of Aniasa, Alberto Viano - also what has been announced to encourage the commercial vehicle market to electric traction. But to prevent the announcement effect from blocking the market for company fleet registrations, and not only that, it is now necessary to act quickly and accelerate the process that will lead to the actual availability of the benefits".
