The new generation of the Cle Cabriolet will arrive in April (but reservations in Germany are already open), the model with which Mercedes continues its long tradition of four-seater discoveries and which is based on the sporty Cle Coupé.

The new version of the most recent Cle highlights the possibility of enjoying the pleasure of driving and traveling en plein air at any time of the year thanks to the patented Aircap electric wind deflector system and the height heating of the Airscarf heads, present series.
In detail Aircap consists of a deflector on the upper edge of the windscreen - which directs the airflow over the heads of the occupants and which extends at the touch of a button.
Added to this is the automatic deflector behind the rear head restraints which now reduces turbulence more efficiently.
Also patented by the Three-Pointed Star, Airscarf is a specific function of the climate control system that produces an even warmer flow of air around the neck and throat of the front seat occupants, even in unfavorable wind conditions.
Users of the Cle Cabriolet will certainly also appreciate the new acoustically insulated fabric soft top which contributes to the usability of this model all year round.
It is available in black, red or gray and uses a multi-layer structure with extensive insulation which guarantees the best thermal comfort in all seasons, also reducing aerodynamic and dynamic noise.
The soft top opens and closes in just 20 seconds even with the car moving up to 60 km/h.
For the first time, the mechanism that moves the soft top is powered exclusively by electricity, which makes its operation even quieter.
Note that the divider that separates the folded top from the remaining luggage compartment works automatically and is standard.
At launch, the Cle Cabriolet will be offered with a range of three engines, all light hybrids.
Each has a 17 kW engine integrated with the generator and starter that runs on an additional 48 Volt electrical system.
The Cle 220d uses a latest generation 4-cylinder 2.0 Mhev diesel which delivers 197 HP and is perfect for driving the Star Cabriolet over long distances.
Then in the Cle 200 there is a 4-cylinder 2.0 MHEV petrol engine with 204 HP.
And this same engine, coupled to all-wheel drive, makes up the propulsion system of the Cle 200 4Matic.
Subsequently, the Cabriolet will be offered as the Cle 450 4Matic with the same top-of-the-line engine as the Coupé version.
It is a 3.0 inline 6-cylinder that delivers 301 HP, also in this case coupled only to the popular 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
4,850 millimeters long, 1,861 millimeters wide and 1,424 millimeters high, the new Cle Cabriolet has a wheelbase of 2,865 millimetres, especially to the advantage of passengers traveling in the rear.
Thanks to the 25 mm more wheelbase and the redesign of the passenger compartment, they have 72 mm more space for the knees and 19 more mm for the shoulders and elbows.
