Production of the Mobilize PowerBox begins at Lacroix's Symbiose electronics products factory, located in Beaupréau-en-Mauges, in the Department of Maine-et-Loire in France, with an initial capacity of 65,000 units per year.
The partners of the open innovation ecosystem created by Software République (Orange, Groupe Renault, STMicroelectronics and Thales) have in fact come together for the industrial launch of the Mobilize PowerBox charging station on the new Symbiose production line.
Mobilize PowerBox will soon be marketed through the Renault dealer network for all electric vehicles in the Renault Group brands.
Lacroix, a company specialized in the design and production of connected devices and solutions, will initially have a production capacity of 65,000 units per year thanks to a strategy that focuses on the robotic and digitalized Industry 4.0.
For higher volumes, the line can be adapted or duplicated to meet growing market expectations.
The Symbiose plant, in addition to being part of the Group's project to contribute to the relocalization of the electronics industry in France, can count on a network of local suppliers to reduce the carbon footprint of the supply chain.
Mobilize PowerBox is a charging solution that adapts to all electrical systems, single-phase or three-phase.
It can be installed indoors or outdoors, on the wall or on a support.
At home, it can be integrated into the domestic electrical ecosystem, as it is equipped with a dynamic energy management system that allows the charging power to be modulated based on the available power, avoiding the risk of blackouts.
The Mobilize PowerBox charging station operates on alternating current.
It delivers charging power of up to 22 kW, depending on the electrical system and the vehicle's charging capacity.
Mobilize PowerBox is compatible with all electric and plug-in hybrid cars equipped with a type 2 socket.
