Rapper Moha La Squale was arrested several days ago in Germany even though he had been on the run for several weeks despite an electronic bracelet, Le Parisien learned from a source close to the case, confirming information from BFMTV.
Real name Mohamed Bellahmed, the rapper had been indicted for rape and sexual assault on several occasions.
He was the subject of a European arrest warrant after fleeing in December despite house arrest in Paris and electronic surveillance.
Moha La Squale was arrested by German police before being handed over to French authorities this week.
He must be presented to an investigating judge in Paris this Friday.
