The manual gearbox definitively bids farewell to the Golf GTI which, with the new model, will only be available with the DSG dual clutch automatic transmission, so Volkswagen has created a limited series of 110 examples reserved for the Italian market, called Golf GTI MT Ultimate, in which the number 110 is a direct reference to the 110 HP of the first series Golf GTI.
The list price is 52,950 euros, and deliveries are expected during the spring.

Under the hood there is a 1,984 cm3 four-cylinder turbo engine with 245 HP and 370 Nm of maximum torque, which allows it to reach a speed of 250 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds.
Offered in red, white or black liveries, like the original, and with 19-inch two-tone or black alloy wheels, this limited edition of the Golf GTI is also a tribute to a model that has attracted admirers for almost 50 years, and is also characterized by the mirror caps and the contrasting stripes that run along the lower part of the side.
There are two unique and distinctive touches: the GTI MT Ultimate logo on the front door pillar and the commemorative plate on the dashboard, visible from the right side window, which certify that the model belongs to the limited series made only for the Italian market in 110 units .
Standard equipment includes IQ.Light LED Matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist;
the LED front fog lights with X design and cornering function, the Rear View reversing camera;
the Mirror Pack with Side Assist Plus lane change assistant and Rear Traffic Alert;
the Adaptive Chassis Control DCC adaptive suspension;
the Harman Kardon sound system;
Keyless Entry keyless opening and closing with anti-theft plus;
and the spare wheel.
Finally, this limited series closes orders for the current Golf range, now only available from stock, while the new model can be ordered in a few weeks.
