Horror scenes on the Lufthansa flight which linked Bangkok (Thailand) to Munich (Germany) on Thursday evening.
A German passenger aged around sixty died in mid-flight, after spitting “liters of blood” through his nose and mouth, witnesses reported to Swiss media Blick.
A Swiss couple said they noticed before takeoff the poor state of health of this man, placed in the row just in front, alongside his wife, of Filipino nationality.
“He was in a cold sweat and breathing too fast,” Karin Missfelder told Blick.
Worried, this professional nurse warned the crew of the flight.

United States: a passenger is killed by climbing into the engine of a plane ready to leave
The commander “called a doctor by loudspeaker and a young Pole in his thirties, speaking poor English” came forward, she continues.
After briefly consulting the German passenger, the doctor concluded that he was fit to travel.
However, according to the Swiss couple, the sixty-year-old's state of health continued to deteriorate considerably.
The man began to “spit blood into the bag his wife handed him,” witnesses said.
Then a “jet of blood” came out of his mouth and nose.
“It was absolute horror, everyone was screaming,” describes Karin Missfelder, according to whom the passenger lost “liters of blood”.
Traumatized passengers
The crew members performed first aid and attempted to resuscitate the passenger, to no avail.
He was transported to the front of the plane.
“It was absolutely silent on board,” according to the Swiss couple.
The pilot, who confirmed the death of the sixty-year-old, announced that the flight had to turn back to Thailand.
At Bangkok airport, Martin Missfelder describes a scene of chaos: “No one took care of us, we waited two hours.
» The passengers were eventually redirected to a flight via Hong Kong.
As for the victim's wife, "she was left all alone and had to endure all the formalities", deplore the witness spouses.
“The fact that Lufthansa took no action in his case, that no one cares about around thirty traumatized passengers, is unacceptable,” they are indignant.
The German airline confirmed the death of the passenger to Blick, but did not wish to communicate further on the circumstances of the tragedy.
