Rail traffic was disrupted this Sunday in Bouches-du-Rhône due to a serious personal accident that occurred around 5 p.m., between the municipalities of Saint-Chamas and Miramas.
According to information from BFM Marseille Provence, collected from the department's firefighters, the victim is a 16-year-old teenager, hit by a train, information confirmed to Le Parisien.
In serious condition, taken unconscious by emergency services, he will be airlifted to a hospital.
The train passengers were not injured.
The circumstances of the accident still remain unknown.

Interrupted traffic
Contacted by Le Parisien, the SNCF confirmed the accident and indicated that traffic was completely interrupted in both directions between the municipalities of Miramas and Rognac.
A resumption of traffic is estimated around 7:15 p.m.
Last January, a 14-year-old girl was fatally struck by a train at Albias station (Tarn-et-Garonne), while she was crossing the tracks.
