“An episode of violent winds” caused the “fall of a tree near the attraction” on which “a few branches hit the customers who had ridden” in it, explained the park company in a press release.
A Catalan police spokesperson told AFP that parts of the tree had fallen on one of the “carriages of the Tomahawk roller coaster”, presented as an attraction for children on the park's website.
The regional police, the Mossos d'Esquadra, opened an investigation.
