Highlights: Citroën has decided to use reasonably sized batteries for its electric cars. The choice, based on the 1000 km test, does not penalize long journeys. By combining the new generation of batteries used with 100 kW fast charging and an efficient engine, it is possible to tackle even the longest journeys with peace of mind. To demonstrate the validity of its choices, Citroen invited UTAC, an independent body specialized in the approval of motor vehicles and equipment, to carry out a practical test.

The French manufacturer has in fact decided to use reasonably sized batteries for its electric cars, capable of being compact, light and economical.

The choice, based on the 1000 km test, does not penalize long journeys.

By combining the new generation of batteries used with 100 kW fast charging and an efficient engine, it is possible to tackle even the longest journeys with peace of mind.

To demonstrate the validity of its choices, Citroën invited UTAC, an independent body specialized in the approval of motor vehicles and equipment, to carry out a practical test.

How long does it take for an electric vehicle, especially the Citroën ë-C4X, to travel 1,000 km?

The question was the basis of the test carried out, which by parameters took into consideration battery size, declared autonomy, weight, charging speed and more.

To provide customers with precise terms of comparison, Citroën asked UTAC to conduct a test under equal conditions, comparing the performance of Citroën ë-C4 and Citroën ë-C4X with those of the competition and verifying that Citroën ë-C4 It was the fastest car to complete 1,000 km, with a total time, including recharges, of 11 hours and 57 minutes.

In terms of reducing charging anxiety, the e-Routes application makes all long-distance electric journeys more peaceful and convenient.

This personal assistant, directly connected to the vehicle data, optimizes the user experience in real time, providing useful information on driving conditions and the status of charging stations.

"The test conducted by UTAC - commented Thierry Koskas, CEO of Citroën - validates Citroën's strategic choices. A battery of more reasonable dimensions which, while guaranteeing a range of over 400 km, reduces costs and consumption and allows you to travel long distances without worries, thanks to the efficiency of fast charging".
