This mishap would have happened, at least, to more than 170 individuals, particularly elderly people, mainly in the Paris region.
The total damage would amount to more than 700,000 euros.

All the complainants had used a repair company often appearing first in the yellow pages on the Internet.
“It’s borderline if the name didn’t flash,” jokes one of the victims.
What do these companies have in common?
They were all linked to Mehdi M., a 37-year-old master crook from Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) and manager, at the time, of “Bertrand et fils” in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val- de-Marne).
