French luxury attracts buyers, but also thieves.
Four men and two women, aged 22 to 34, were indicted on Thursday in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) for “organized gang theft and criminal conspiracy”.
Since November 2023, they are suspected of having stolen the equivalent of nearly a million euros worth of merchandise from a warehouse of the leather goods manufacturer Hermès in Bobigny.
Two of them were imprisoned and the four others were released under judicial supervision.

It was last December that investigators from the Paris banditry suppression brigade (BRB) were tasked with carrying out investigations after a complaint filed by a manager of the luxury brand.
“The company realized that it was missing merchandise from its stock.
Its security services scanned their video surveillance screens before identifying four temporary workers who work as order preparers within this logistics platform,” specifies a source close to the matter.
