Raising awareness among young people about respecting the rules and regulations on road safety for the protection of motorists and vulnerable users.
With this objective, Autostrade per l'Italia launched the educational and cultural project, involving more than 200 selected institutes in the territories crossed by the Aspi network and over 12 thousand children attending the last three years of secondary school.
An interactive journey made up of educational workshops, live events and a contest dedicated to participants which will last until May, explains the company.
Today at the presentation of the project, at the "LuigiEinaudi" Institute in Rome, the paralympic champion Ambra Sabatini, exceptional testimonial of the campaign on road safety promoted by Aspi and the State Police.
The CEO, Roberto Tomasi, was present for Aspi.
"Safety on the road is in our hands. Everyone, especially the younger ones, must be aware of the dangers involved in driving and the possible consequences of any incorrect behaviour. Safe driving must become a consolidated practice, it is social responsibility, respect for life. For this is why projects like this take on an even more important meaning. In addition to the important collaboration with the State Police, it is a priority for us to invest in modern and safe infrastructures, but also in road safety education and good practices behind the wheel.
Involving young people in this mission is the right path", said Tomasi.
"I am really proud to be part of the large Autostrade per l'Italia family and to be an ambassador for this project. I believe speaking directly in schools and telling my experience is the most direct and effective way to raise awareness among the new generations on this issue", added Sabatini.
The project in schools involves a personalized test to be taken individually in the classroom on a smartphone which leads each child to closely follow road safety issues.
With the support of the professors, the young people will then be able to delve deeper through workshops and multimedia educational material prepared by Aspi.
Meetings with road safety specialists are also planned.
