Doron Hibshar, the legendary sound technician of the Barbie Club in Tel Aviv, passed away this morning (Tuesday) at the age of 62 after a battle with a serious lung disease.
A post written on Barbie's Facebook reads: "Our beloved Doron, our legendary soundman, rock man and legend, left us prematurely this morning. We are heartbroken. We will publish details of the funeral date later."
Doron - one of the people most identified with the Tel Aviv club - has signed on to the recordings of several concert albums at Barbie, including Amir Lev's show at the venue, Dan Thorn's show as well as some of the songs on the albums "Rishomi Paham" and "Muda Ani" by Meir Ariel.
Doron also had a band called "Dangerous Rounds" with which he performed in several places, including in Barbi, of course.

The music journalist Yuval Aral wrote about him on his website: "In the last year, Doron's medical condition worsened, he suffered from a lung disease that affected his ability to move and conduct himself freely as before. He was connected to a small oxygen machine, but he continued to work despite this. I hope that he is now resting in the artists' room reserved for those who have left the world, raise a clean glass of desert and wait for the performance of the rubbing band."
