They undoubtedly imagined a coded dialogue within a couple, more or less legitimate, via this channel conducive to cryptic conversations.
They were far from imagining that it was the beginning of a dialogue between the police – Suzy – and a mysterious AZF group – “my big wolf” – which then threatened to set off bombs on the railway network.
