Named after this 24-year-old young man who died on July 19, 2016 at the Persan gendarmerie barracks, two hours after his arrest in Beaumont-sur-Oise (Val-d'Oise) at the end of a chase by a scorching weather of 36.7 degrees.

The magistrates of the investigating chamber must examine the appeal for the general dismissal of charges, rendered on August 30, 2023 by the investigating judges in favor of the three gendarmes involved in this arrest with a tragic outcome, and witnesses assisted for “failure to assist a person in danger” since November 2018.

“This dismissal order which contains contradictions, inconsistencies and serious violations of the law dishonors the judicial institution,” denounced Me Yassine Bouzrou, historic lawyer for the Traoré family, immediately appealing.

Engaged from the start in a bitter legal battle, obtaining in particular the removal of the Pontoise case to Paris, Me Bouzrou, who did not wish to speak before the hearing, will plead the reversal of the dismissal order. .

Just like Me Frank Berton, counsel for Bagui Traoré, who was targeted in July 2016 by the gendarmes' operation in which his brother Adama was apprehended.

The criminal lawyer will also request additional information on areas of the investigation that remain incomplete in his view.
