The commitment to reducing the impact on the climate and on resources is growing on the part of the Renault group, which, in Italy, in collaboration with Sorgenia, has created a photovoltaic system of approximately 398 Kwp of installed power, corresponding to 847 panels, for a total occupied area of approximately 1,700 m2.
Specifically, it is a system, installed on 3 of the 5 buildings of the Italian headquarters, which can produce 509,000 kWh of energy from solar sources every year and which currently satisfies over 50% of the overall electricity requirement, while it will reach 75%. % during the summer period.
The plant in question began producing green energy in January 2024, and avoids the release into the atmosphere of over 194,000 kg of CO2 per year, equal to 3,518 trees planted.
“Our environmental and social responsibility is fully consistent with the objectives of Renaulution - stated Raffaele Fusilli, at Renault Italia - our commitments in terms of decarbonisation, as well as safety and inclusion, respond to our strategic challenges and fuel the creation of value.
With the installation of this photovoltaic system, which follows the one recently created in our totally green European distribution center in Castel San Giovanni, we are adding another piece to our concrete action plan".
