In the photo, Philippe and Agnès Furnari smile at each other, their faces turned towards each other, accomplices.
This is how their son, Franck Furnari, 56, would like his parents to be remembered.
“Mom knew Dad when she was 8, he was ten.
Their meeting took place here, in Roubaix, they lived in the same neighborhood.
One day, my mother said to her sister:
Do you see Philippe?
One day, I will marry him
.
She did it.
Their story is magnificent.
When they were killed, they had just celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary…”
The two octogenarians lost their lives on October 11, 2018. The couple were crossing the pedestrian crossing in front of the Roubaix hospital center to go to a cardiology appointment, when a car appeared which hit them and fled.
It was five years ago.
But since then, Franck Furnari's life has not resumed.
Justice for my parents, he implores in big red letters on the banner that he himself hung on a gate facing the hospital, just a few meters from the scene of the accident.
