The matter is taken seriously.
The Bar-le-Duc public prosecutor's office (Meuse) announced this Friday that it would open a judicial investigation to "research the causes of the disappearance" of Lucie, 16, which occurred on February 4 in Vavaincourt.
A preliminary investigation, led by the prosecution, had already been opened quickly after her parents reported the disappearance of the young girl.
It is now an investigating judge who will lead the investigations.

Since the start of the research, “around thirty hearings have been carried out, around ten home visits have been carried out and all the video surveillance on the routes possibly taken by Lucie has been used”, indicates Sofian Saboulard, public prosecutor. of Bar-le-Duc, in a press release.
“An investigation group has been formed and dedicated exclusively to the search for Lucie and the causes of her disappearance,” he said.
No leads ruled out
According to the first hearings, Lucie had “run away from the past”.
Her mother notably mentioned running away "a few days before", after which the teenager was "found at a friend's house".
A few days after the disappearance, the mother received a letter, posted on February 7, which included the following note: “Mom, it’s Lucie, I’m fine and I’m safe (…) I’ll be back soon.
» The first analyzes of a graphologist noted “important concordances between Lucie's writing and the general shapes and characteristics of the mail”.
A “more in-depth” analysis is underway, indicates the prosecution.
“No avenue has been ruled out.
The investigations are continuing and will continue with intensity,” assures Sofiane Saboulard.
They were entrusted to the Commercy Research Brigade.
