Fire risk: Mercedes is recalling certain model years of the E-Class, AMG GT and CLS
The reason for the recall is that the 48V ground point in the engine compartment was not attached to the specification.
This can come loose and cause a fire hazard.
The Mercedes models AMG GT, CLS and E-Class, which were produced between 2021 and 2023, are affected.
75,159 vehicles worldwide are affected by this recall, including 14,080 in Germany.
The recall is being monitored by the
Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA)
and has the KBA reference number “013578” and the manufacturer code “5491318”.

Affected Mercedes models are checked in the workshop
