Nice: a banner hostile to Israel with the initials “SS” deployed by the sea

A banner on which was written “Murderer Israel”, the initials “SS” painted in red, was temporarily displayed on Saturday afternoon in Nice, on the facade of the Bellanda Tower, reports France Bleu.

This tower dominating the end of the famous Promenade des Anglais, the banner did not escape onlookers.

It was quickly removed according to our colleagues.

Asked about this on BFMTV, the Horizons mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, denounced “an unacceptable attack” and assured that the perpetrators will be “pursued for anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism”.

“Unacceptable in the current context”

“In a few minutes we managed to remove this banner and with our video surveillance cameras we were able to record the images of those who put them up” declared the elected official before continuing: “We are in touch with the public prosecutor , with the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes to use all means to challenge them, prosecute them for anti-Zionism, anti-Semitism, because this attack is unacceptable in the current context.”

Last January, another banner reading “Boycott Israel” was displayed on the Nice Tower, according to France Bleu.
