The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, confirmed on Sunday information from Le Figaro according to which the number of expulsions of individuals deemed dangerous by the DGSI and linked to radical Islam had increased by 26% in 2023.

“At the request of Emmanuel Macron, we have intensified the fight against radical and political Islam monitored by the DGSI: + 26% of expulsions compared to 2022,” the minister indicated in a tweet.
