Today the documentary forum awards ceremony for 2023 was held during which nine documentary projects were announced as the year's big winners.

The big winner of this year's competition is the film "1341 frames from the camera of Micah Bar-am" by director Ran Tal.

The film "1948 - To Remember and Forget" by director Neta Shoshani won in two categories: editorial category for editor Neta Dvorakis, and investigative category for Lily Yudinsky, Gal Rosenblut and Jeanne Besol.



The debut film category was won by the film "The Three of Us" by director Hania Brodbecker.

The film, which also won the documentary prize at the Jerusalem Film Festival, documents the struggle of Hania and her husband, a young ultra-Orthodox couple, to integrate their autistic child into the mainstream ultra-Orthodox education system.

The film "Wedding Night" by director Rachel Elitzur, which also deals with taboos in ultra-Orthodox society, won the professional category for original music for Postel Radio.

Also the film "If it's over - Inbal Perlmutter" directed by Sharon Luzon won in the soundtrack design category for the work of Aviv Aldama.

In the documentary series category, the series "Tiberias - Under the Red Line" won, which was broadcast by the corporation and received enthusiastic reviews.

The series directed by Karin Keiner deals with the stormy political struggle in the Tiberias municipality.

In the documentary category up to 65 minutes, the film "In case you're still around" by director and photographer Talia (Tulik) Galon won.

The docu-film "I see you" directed by Adam Weingrod won the short film category.



In the student film category, the creator Zohar Orian Cohen won with her film "Shemai Kalami", a graduate of the School of Sound and Screen Arts at Sapir Academic College.

"Alone at the Front" an article directed by Itai Engel from the 'Ovda' editorial team, won in the documentary article category.

The sixth season of the network series "The Hitchhikers" won the network series category.

The photography prize was awarded this year to the photographers of the film 'Lies I Told Myself'.



The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to creator and esteemed mentor Danny Seaton.
