Nissan Argentina launched the update of the
Sentra
, its medium sedan that arrives from Mexico and is now available in the official dealerships of the Japanese firm.
The Sentra is one of the
few midsize sedans
left in our market, along with the
Toyota Corolla
,
Volkswagen Vento
and
Chevrolet Cruze
, which stopped being manufactured in the country but still has units in stock.
The range is made up of
three versions
, all equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
And this is where the first difference with its predecessor is evident, which did have a variant with a six-speed manual transmission.
The engine, for its part, remains the same 2.0 liter that delivers a power of 147 horsepower and a maximum torque of 197 Nm.
The traction is front.
What's new
The new Nissan Sentra presents aesthetic changes and more complete equipment throughout the range.
The Sentra is one of the few midsize sedans left on the market.
At first glance, the difference with respect to its predecessor can be seen in the nose, where they changed the grille, headlights and bumpers.
While it has
three sizes of alloy wheels
: 16 inches (Advance CVT), 17 inches (Exclusive CVT) and 18 inches (SR CVT).
The interior is still intact.
It maintains the multimedia system with 8" touch screen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, instrument panel with 7" display, paddle shifters, One Touch window lifter (driver), and center armrest.
All versions incorporate
dual-zone automatic air conditioning
, while the SR CVT and Exclusive CVT variants add the possibility of heating the front seats and include a Bose premium audio system.
In terms of technology, all versions are equipped with different
driving assistance systems
(ADAS) such as intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot detection system, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist and the alert for involuntary lane change with intelligent steering wheel intervention, among others.
All versions have paddles behind the steering wheel to change gears in manual mode.
For its part, the full version adds adaptive cruise control and remote engine start, among the most important.
In addition, the entire range is equipped with
six airbags
(two front, two side and curtain), stability control and hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, Isofix hooks for child seats.
The range is available in red, silver grey, pearl white, dark grey, and in two-tone pearl white with black roof and storm gray with black roof options.
