Traffic Division detectives arrest a man whose license was suspended for 20 years after causing a fatal accident, and was seen driving again/police spokeswoman
There is no limit to insolence: the detectives of the Central Unit of the Traffic Division caught a resident of Tiberias who previously caused a fatal accident while drunk, was sent to prison and sentenced to a 20-year license suspension, when he is again driving.
The man, David Rush (43), was convicted in 2019 of manslaughter, reckless driving, driving under the influence of an intoxicating drink and driving against the direction of traffic.
This is due to a traffic accident he caused in 2016, when he was driving from Haifa towards Tiberias while he had a concentration of 210 ml of alcohol in his blood. Upon arriving at the intersection of Sderot Ha-Histadrut with Route 75 in Haifa, he turned right towards Yegor, and drove in the opposite lane of traffic intended for vehicles traveling on Route 75 towards Haifa At that time, many vehicles were driving on the road and he hit one of them, and their driver, Nidal Hamza (29), was killed.
The court sentenced him to 4.5 years in prison and disqualified him from holding a license for 20 years.
